How to change over from octal to decimal
A ordinary decimal number is the amount of the digits duplicated with 10n.
Example #1
137 in base 10 is equivalent to every digit duplicated with its comparing 10n:
13710 = 1×102+3×101+7×100 = 100+30+7
Octal numbers are perused the same way, yet every digit counts 8n rather than 10n.
Multiply every digit of the hex number with its comparing 8n.
